May 18 will mark the 13th year volunteers have participated in building and maintaining Kent’s 26-plus miles of trails. This year, Lake Fenwick Park will once again be the site for trail improvements.
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, rain or shine.
Volunteers are asked to dress for the weather (no sandals or flip-flops) and bring a shovel, pruners or lopping shears.
Starbucks on Fourth and Meeker provides coffee and hot chocolate. Water will also be available, and volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water containers and refill from our cooler to reduce waste in our landfills.
To keep the event manageable and safe, volunteers are asked to register by noon on Wednesday, May 15: www.KentWA.gov/ParkVolunteers.
