WGU Washington launches special scholarships for business programs

Online, competency-based university will grant scholarships to undergraduate students enrolling in College of Business.

Nonprofit, online WGU Washington is offering a scholarship program for new students enrolling in any of the university’s undergraduate degree programs in its College of Business.

Applications are being accepted for the Excellence in Business Scholarship, which provides up to $3,000 ($600 per six-month term, up to five terms). In addition, the $65 university application fee will be waived for those applying for the scholarship by Aug. 31.

To be eligible, scholarship applicants must be officially admitted into one of WGU Washington’s undergraduate business degree programs, complete the scholarship application, and be interviewed by a university scholarship counselor. Recipients will be selected based on their academic records, financial need, and readiness for online study at WGU Washington.

WGU Washington’s College of Business has more than 4,100 students in communities throughout the state. The university’s business degree programs have been developed in collaboration with industry leaders to ensure that students gain the knowledge and skills that today’s employers need.
