Wild Waves Theme and Water Park in Federal Way is looking to fill 600 positions for the park’s June 18 reopening.

A virtual hiring event is set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 24. Interested applicants must register on the park’s website by 5 p.m. Monday, March 22.

Pending state COVID-19 guidelines, the park is preparing to open Friday, June 18 with new health and safety protocols in place.

Wild Waves announced the cancellation of their 2020 season, including all special events in the fall and winter, on Aug. 20 of last year due to the uncertainty of the pandemic.

As a result, all 2020 Wild Waves Season Passes have been converted and upgraded to the new 2021 Premium Season Pass which includes free season parking and 50%-off cabana rental.

Wild Waves Theme & Water Park President Jody Kneupper began her career in the amusement industry as a teenager life-guarding for a water park.

“The experience and leadership skills I gained helped me succeed in college and eventually took me all over the country with an amazing opportunity to see new places and have fun at work,” she said. “It’s a career I could have never imagined.”
