Wind from the south could hit 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph in the Kent, Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton and Everett area on Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service (NWS) on Friday issued a wind advisory to be in effect until about 10 p.m. Friday. The strongest winds are expected in the late afternoon.
Winds of this strength can break branches off of trees, topple weakened trees and produce local power outages, according to the NWS.
