One dead, one injured in Federal Way shootings

Federal Way Police say they have found a connection between the two incidents.

Two shootings on Monday, March 18 in Federal Way have left one man dead and a second man hospitalized.

According to the Federal Way Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 12:01 a.m. to SeaMar Community Health, 31405 18th Ave. S., for a report of a shooting.

Officers located a man of unknown age with a gunshot wound and started life-saving measures, according to police. King County Medic One provided additional lifesaving measures upon arrival. The man later died as a result of his injuries.

Shortly after the first call, police received a report of a man with a gunshot wound at the Southridge House, 30838 14th Ave. S., according to police

King County Medic One arrived and transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment.

Federal Way Police said they have found a connection between the two incidents.

“At this time there is no danger to the community,” according to the department. “Federal Way … detectives are conducting a detailed investigation at both locations.”
