Renton Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for an early morning shooting that injured two people on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at an encampment in Renton.
The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. in an encampment near the Cedar River Dog Park, according to police.
A 30-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso, and a 20-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, according to police.
First responders transported the 30-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and the 20-year-old victim to Valley Medical Center in Renton, according to an email from Renton Police spokesperson Meeghan Black.
Investigators initiated an active search for the suspect after one of the victims reportedly identified the suspect. Police arrested and placed the man in custody as of noon Feb. 27, according to Black.
