Albert Alfred Cohen, JR.
February 24, 1934 – November 26, 2008Albert “Al” Alfred Cohen, Jr , age 74, passed away on November 26, 2008, at the Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA. He was a resident of Kent for the past 31 years.He was born on February 24, 1934 in Salem, OR, the only child of Albert, Sr. and Pauline Elizabeth (Remington) Cohen. He was a 1952 graduate of Salem High, going on to the University of Oregon at Eugene. Military service interrupted and he served in the US Army at Ft. Ord, CA for two years.He returned to Eugene and married Judith Johnson on September 7, 1957. The couple settled in Kent, WA in 1977 where he was employed with Alaskan Copper Works in Seattle for over 20 years.He is survived by his wife of 51 years; his son, Dave (Ruth) Cohen of Phoenix, AZ; and 2 grandsons, Matthew and Jacob.A Committal Service with Military Honors will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
