Clinton D “Brownie” Pozzi
Clinton D “Brownie” Pozzi went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was born on September 24, 1925 in Kent, Washington to Jesse O. and Lavera Pozzi. Brownie graduated from Kent High School in 1943 and lived most of his 90 years in Kent. He proudly served our country in the US Navy, in the Pacific, during World War ll.
Brownie worked hard as a truck driver to support his young family. He eventually became part-owner of Pozzi Bros. Transportation. He and his wife June were very involved in the community and one of the first families that founded Bible Baptist Church in Auburn, WA, currently known as Grace Community Church.
Brownie enjoyed hunting, fishing, ham radios and eventually computers. His contagious giggle and endearing nick name for his granddaughters, “dumb toads” will always be remembered.
Brownie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty “June” Pozzi, his son Clinton Pozzi Jr, wife Christie, daughters, Beccy Matheny, husband Keith, and DeeDee Wegener, husband Chuck, 4 granddaughters, and 5 great-grandchildren.
A service in his honor will be held at Judson Park, 23600 Marine View Dr. S., Des Moines, WA 98198, on Thursday, July 7 at 1pm. Reception to follow.
The Reverand Barbara Reid will officiate and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Brownie.
