Cynthia Ann (Biesanz) Gregory was born April 21, 1 946, in Salem, OR and died September 2, 2018, in Maple Valley, WA. Cynthia was born to Philip and Dorothy Biesanz, the third of eight children. She spent her childhood in North Bend, OR and graduated from North Bend High School in 1964. She married Jerry Gregory in April 1970. They spent their married life in Kent, WA where they raised their two girls.
Cynthia was a friend to all, and loved her family more than anything. She was a devoted mom, grandma, sister, and friend. She was kind, funny, and selfless. She helped her family, friends, and community without wanting recognition. She loved the ocean, her home and yard, and playing games, especially with her grandkids. A recent trip with Jerry back to their hometown of North Bend, OR, to visit high school friends and family along the way, proved therapeutic to Cynthia’s spirits and yielded cheerful memories in her final months.
Cynthia will be missed by many, especially by her husband Jerry, and daughter Kari and her husband Jeff Hedrick, grandchildren Chloe (17), Josey (7), and Rex (4), and daughter Lori and her husband Josh Miskar, grandchildren Ike (16), Hailey (13), Kendall (9), and Julian (7). She will also be missed by her siblings and their families, Dick and Franzi Biesanz, Lyle and Donna Biesanz, Lisa and Skip Armstrong, Jeff Biesanz, and Guy Biesanz, and by many nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and life-long friends.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Kathie Hastings, and brother Brett Biesanz.
“I had a happy life. I loved life. My family was the most important thing.”
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Seattle Children’s Hospital or Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center.
