David Joseph Kauzlarich, 69, died suddenly on December 4th 2018 at his home in Port Townsend, WA. His funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, December 14th at St Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church in Renton, WA.
David was born on the 14th of October, 1949 in Renton, WA to Helen and John Kauzlarich. He attended Issaquah High School, Wenatchee Valley Junior College, where he played football, and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Washington University. He married his wife of 40 years, Karla, on August 26th 1978, and they raised 2 children.
In his youth, David loved playing multiple sports, camping, spending summer days on Lake Sammamish, and coaching sports teams for his siblings. Later in life, he enjoyed crabbing and fishing in Discovery Bay, volunteered heavily at his local church, and enjoyed working in his apple orchard overlooking the Olympic Mountains. He was also a Husky football season ticket holder for 41 years.
David was a devoted family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Karla Kauzlarich, his children Kyle and Kathryn; daughter-in law Kimberly; grandchildren Justine and Logan; brothers, John, Steve, Vincent, Thomas, and Larry; sisters Judith, Barbara, Francis, and Mary. He is proceeded in death by his sister Christine and both parents. Dave was blessed to have a very large extended family including countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved dearly.
