David P. Barnett

David P. Barnett passed away peacefully at home with family, at the young age of 66 on Tuesday morning, June 2, 2009, after a courageous battle with a brain tumor. Born to Walter (Pete) and Mabel (Amy) Barnett in Kent, WA where he remained with his life long partner, “Dixie” Theresa R. Phelps. He’s survived by his three brothers, Mike, Tom and Tim Barnett, his daughters, Kim Ursino, Julie Moses and Ginger Farmen. He has (five) beautiful grandchildren, Ryan, Alisha, Taylor, Jason and Jacqueline. As well as (five) great grandchildren, Rachel, Marissa, Domanic, Darrien and Danica.David was a long time member of “The Kent Eagles Club” and “The American Legion Post #15” where he will be deeply missed.Dave worked in construction all his life, a Carpenter by trade, he enjoyed life! Along with hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. David had a kind heart and would do for anyone. A celebration of David’s life for family and friends will be held on August 30, 2009 at The American Legion Post #15 from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM, 25406 97th Pl S, Kent, WA 98031.Memorials may be made to American Legion Post #15 and Highline Hospice.David will be put to rest with his Mother and Father at Hillcrest Burial Park, 1005 Reiten Rd, Kent,WA 98030 privately with his family. “A Man who works with his Hands,leaves his stamp on the World with his Heart”–Lisa Barnett-Olson niece.
