Donald Lynn Jay of Lake Tapps, WA, passed away March 23, 2018 with his family beside him.
Don was born July 25, 1948 to Alvis and Mary Jay in Joplin, Missouri. One of seven children, Don was a charismatic and joyful spirt, and was loved by many. As a local meat cutter for more than 40 years, Don’s magnetic smile and infectious laughter brought joy to his family and friends as well as many customers he served at grocery stores such as Dunham’s Shop Rite, Don’s Meats, Matthew’s Thriftway and Shawn’s Quality Meats. Don was a proud member of the South End Fellowship since 1996.
Don will be greatly missed by his wife Marilyn; his stepchildren Neil (Kim), Ian, Nathan (Shekinah) and Amica; his 3 grandchildren; his siblings Charlotte, Larry and Leah (Phil); as well as many beloved extended family.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:30pm on May 6, 2018 at the William Warren Building, 405 E Street NE, Auburn, WA 98002.
