Everett Nelson “Sunny” Sipe, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2013 of natural causes. He was born November 10, 1926 in Auburn,WA to Everett “Ed” Sipe and Christina Nelson. Sunny was nicknamed by his mother because of his sunny disposition. He attended Kent schools graduating in 1945 from Kent High School. He worked in father’s fuel business, Sipe’s Fuel. In 1946 he opened the door to Sunny Sipe’s Radiator Repair located in the same building as his Dad’s fuel business. He opened that same door for 43 years, until his retirement in1989. His magnetic and unique personality made many of his customers close friends, as well as being able to keep his decades long friendships with others. He was a Life Time Member of the Elks. On April 26,1952 he married Jeanette Cyr, together they enjoyed many years RVing. On one trip taken in Mexico, they put their 5th wheel on a flat bed train car and traveled through the Copper Canyon. Another excursion, was to float down The Mississippi River with the RV on a barge.He was a devoted father to his daughters Claudia (Rick) and Diana (Steve), Grandfather to 5 grandchildren, Great Grandfather to 4. He is survived by his brother Clifford (Pat) niece, Cathy and nephew James.The family would like to thank the staff of HomeCare In Kent,Inc for their generous and loving care.
