Geneva Kaiser
Geneva Kaiser, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully in Puyallup, WA August 27, 2016. Born October 31, 1922 in Colcord, Oklahoma to Mead and Opal Kustanborter, she had eight sisters and one brother.
Geneva married William (Bill) James Kaiser in Jay, Oklahoma on March 13, 1944. Bill was a career soldier in the U.S. Army for 20 years, which took them to Alaska, Arizona, and Germany before finally retiring and settling down in Kent, Washington in 1960. Geneva and Bill raised two daughters, Billie and Elaine, and two sons, Jim and Barry.
Geneva was a loving wife and caring mother and grandmother. She was really proud of her family, and enjoyed cooking for them during family events. She also loved gardening, quilting, dancing, playing the violin and mandolin. She and her sister, Juanita, belonged to the Old Time Fiddlers Club, where she sang with her sister and played violin during the jam sessions.
Geneva was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 52 years, daughter Billie Larsen, grandsons Brandon Kaiser and Joseph Brewer, and six siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Julia, Lula Bell, and Hattie, daughter Elaine Brewer (Larry), sons Jim (Kathy) and Barry (Pam), grandchildren Jennifer, Brian, Annette, James, Danny, Vicki, Michael, David, Casey, L.A., Matthew, Angela, Geneva, William, Amanda, Sean, Mark and 27 great grandchildren.
Interment will take place at the Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 S.E. 240th St. Kent, WA. September 26th at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in memory of Geneva Kaiser.
