Lowell R Henderson passed away
peacefully on September 21, 2020
following a brief illness and 98 years
of wear and tear on his earthly suitof-
clothes.
Lowell was born in Roseau County
Minnesota on September 12th 1922,
the youngest son of Peter Meier
Stenberg-Henderson and Isabelle
Sarah Knutson. He grew up in St
omas ND, his family later moving
to Centralia Washington and his
beloved Camano Island. He was proud to have served in the
Civilian Conservation Corps at Camp Glacier on Mt Baker in
1937. Memories of his CCC service are included in Michael
Impero’s book, ‘Camp Glacier F-12; A History of CCC Camp
Glacier From 1933-1941’.
He married Edna Lucille Eintrikin-Egelkrout on October 21st,
1952 in Kent where he helped raise her children, John Warren
and Janis May Egelkrout.
Preceding him in death were his wife, parents and brothers; Earl
Vernon, Leroy Jerome, Arthur Phillip, Lyle Byron, Lloyd George,
Donald James and his sister, Gretchen Louise Harshman.
He is survived by his Step-Son’s daughter Kristie Weiss and
Step-Daughter’s children Kathie Marquardt, Shannon Johnson,
Deanna Gleb, Marne Cabrera and Bobby Meadows and 14 Great
Grand-children.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu
of owers, donations may be made to Vine Maple Place
[vinemapleplace.org] or Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission
[ugm.org].
