Our beautiful, feisty and brave Lynn Rainey died on the morning of May 3rd at Valley Medical Center after a long Illness. She was 72.
Lynn was born Lynn Espinosa to Marilyn and John Espinosa on July 25th, 1949 in Hayward, CA. John died when Lynn was 3, and Marilyn remarried. So Lynn grew up and went to schools in Oakland, CA, as Lynn Taggart. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Jonathan Taggart.
Lynn moved to South King County in the mid 80s where she had a string of interesting jobs. Places of employment included Valley Daily News, The Regional Justice Center, and Group Health. She also worked a short time as a 911 operator. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Lanzone of San Rafael, CA, and her son, Adam Rainey of Burien.
There will be a celebration of Lynn’s life on July 24th at her home on Kent East Hill that she shared with her loving companion of 30 years, Calvin. For more information go to bartonfuneral.com.
