MaryLou Dinning Becvar passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born at home in Kennydale, Washington on October 12, 1937. She graduated from Renton High school in 1955. She then attended Central Washington University for one year. In 1958, she married Jack Becvar of Kent Washington. She and Jack resided in Kent together until his death.
She was the director of the Kent Food Bank for many years prior to her retirement. She volunteered in many organizations including Kent Historical Society, Kent Kiwanis, Kent LEOFF 1 Coalition and was an active member of First Christian Church of Kent until her move to Astoria, Oregon in 2019.
MaryLou leaves behind two daughters, Robin Kaiser of Kihei, Hawaii and Jackie Welborn of Warrenton, Oregon; four grandchildren – Jennifer Kramer, Rachael Kaiser, Kurt Kaiser and Drew Kaiser and two great granddaughters – Leila Kramer and Chloe Kramer all of Hawaii, and her brother Robert Dinning of Bellevue, Wash.
