Sandra Joyce Parr

Sandra Joyce Parr (nee Alexander) died December 25, 2008 in Coeur d’Alene after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66 years old. Sandra was very involved with the Kent Education Association and served as Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Board member over the years. She also served as a delegate at several state and national conventions. Sandra was extremely active and loved to camp, hike, kayak, and cross country ski. She was a great reader and movie fan. She loved to drive her truck taking trips around the country during summer vacations. A later highlight of her travels was a pair of trips to Europe with dear friends visiting England, Scotland, France and Italy. She looked terrific in a hat and will be remembered for the number she owned and wore. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother. She will be missed by cousins, Shelley Dumas of Grangeville and Susan Preston of Graham, WA, her close friends, Karen Campbell and family of Milwaukee and Carolina Brett and family of Coeur d’Alene and many others including hundreds of students who have known and loved her through the years.
