Verna Louise Hulk
Verna Louise Hulk, 92, died peacefully at home November 26, 2012. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 15, at Kent United Methodist Church. She and husband Paul, lived on the Hulk family farm on East Hill for 67 years. He died in 2010 at 92. She helped organize the first kindergarten at Meridian Elementary in 1949 and was the first president of the Kent area PTA council. She is survived by daughter Cheryl Barrett; son and daughter in law Russ and Paulette Hulk, grandsons Jeremy Barrett and Paul Michael Hulk, brother Darrell Markham, and two great grandchildren. Memorial gifts can be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation.
