Unfortunately, I missed the July articles the Kent Reporter had about the name change of the Kent (soon-to-be Puget Sound) Regional Fire Authority, and did not see it until the RFA newsletter came out last month.
As a taxpayer in their service area, I believe this is a gross overrepresentation of their service delivery area and authority.
I totally understand the desire to better indicate their new service territory, but “Puget Sound” is a bit of an overreach; and is dismissive to all of the other fire agencies who also deliver services in the Puget Sound region.
It would be nice to ask for some reconsideration.
