A winter storm earlier in the week brought a thick blanket of snow, strong wind and troublesome ice to Kent and the Green River Valley.
The snow and ice that hit the area early Monday decided to stick around as low temperatures plummeted well below freezing Tuesday. It stayed pretty much that way all week.
The storm has disrupted the routine workday, closed schools, messed up roads, snarled traffic and canceled events.
More snow is forecast for the weekend.
