The All-Star Play Ball Park is the place to be for fans during the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Week in Seattle from July 8-11.
From outdoor activities to indoor exhibits, Lumen Field Event Center has fun for baseball fanatics of all ages. MLB is also at the forefront of technology with a new mobile app for added features and involvement throughout the Play Ball Park.
To enter the Play Ball Park, fans must register online at allstargame.com/register. After registering, fans can download the All-Star Experience Pass App. On the app, fans can sign up for autographs and win prizes throughout every hour including tickets to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.
On the north end of Lumen Field is the outdoor area, which is free to all attendees. There, you’ll find batting cages, pitching mounds, Cutwater cocktail lounge and a turf wiffle ball field where parents can watch their kids play games the sandlot style. There is also a stage where live music will be performed throughout the entirety of the event.
If fans are willing to pay for a ticket that has a standard price of $35 or with code PBPO which takes $25 off the price, fans can go inside the event center.
There is a north entrance and a south entrance to the event center for fans to access. From the south upon entering fans will gaze upon several 8-foot pictures of the All-Star players from all around the MLB.
From there young kids can head to the Rookie Leagues where there is another wiffle ball diamond, hitting tees and photo opportunities with the Commissioners World Series Trophy.
For those with an interest in the history of America’s pastime, MLB and the Baseball Hall of Fame have an exhibit with featured items from the World Baseball Classic all the way back to the Negro Leagues.
Fans can then turn the clock forward at the MLB Arcade. Inside the arcade are special XBox Series X | S All-Star Edition that will be given away as well as MLB The Show 23 gaming stations. An interactive Home Run Derby VR activity is also in the arcade.
There are even things to do on the football field inside Lumen Field. Fans will walk past the massive stage that will host the MLB Draft Sunday, July 9, and can find more activities on the south side of the stadium. Fans can hit foam balls off a pitching machine into the stands and young ones can play ball on another turf diamond.
On the commerce side, there are multiple vendors ranging from Topps to Mitchell and Ness and even MLB and the Mariners team store. Most of the merchandise will only be available for purchase at the location.
The Play Ball Park is open July 8-11, at Lumen Field Event Center. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
