Kevin Heffington turned back Kent’s Toby Peterson to claim the super pro crown at the Auto Max USA Drag Series stop at Pacific Raceways on Saturday.
Heffington, of Moxee, covered the quarter-mile strip in an elapsed time of 7.554 seconds at a top speed of 164.99 mph. Peterson went 9.283 at 145.86 mph.
In the pro category, Olympia’s Brad Craig (9.637 at 133.84 mph) beat Everett’s Martin Lambert (9.704 at 138.66 mph).
In sportsman, Jackie Soulek, of Marysville won the title with a12.462-second, 107.93-mph pass to down Lake Tapps’ Keith Hadley, who fouled.
In the motorcycle final, Renton’s Joe Lind (9.408 at 148.05 mph) defeated Jacob Havens, of Mill Creek (8.717 at 136.97 mph).
