Morganne Comstock continued to deliver the goods for the Kentlake High girls basketball team Friday afternoon at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
Comstock, a sweet-shooting guard, scored a game-high 21 points, leading the Falcons past Kent-Meridian 53-34 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.
It was the second straight game Comstock, a junior, has eclipsed the 20-point barrier. Comstock continued to surge on Saturday, pouring in a game-high 20 points in a 68-53 loss to Federal Way.
With the split, the Falcons (8-6 in league, 11-7 overall) clinched one of the North’s five playoff berths.
Against the Royals, Kentlake used a 17-5 second-quarter spurt to put away Kent-Meridian (1-11, 3-11).
Briana Shannon led Kent-Meridian with 9 points.
Kentwood rolls on
The second-ranked Conquerors (13-0, 17-0) remained perfect on Friday, cruising to a 25-7 halftime lead and never looking back in a 46-21 win over Kentridge.
Lindsey Moore led Kentwood with 14 points while Shelby Wahlberg chipped in 10. Danyell Wilson led the Chargers (1-12, 2-15) with six points.
The Conquerors continued to roll on Saturday, this time right over Auburn in a 68-42 victory. Moore scored a game-high 23 points in the win over the Trojans while Courtney Johnson chipped in 14.
