Kentwood’s Darius LuBom and Kent-Meridian’s Romaine Jackson were named co-Most Valuable Players of the South Puget Sound League 4A Northeast Division.
Blake Solomon, who led Kentwood to the state finals, was chosen Coach of the Year.
The division’s first-team selections were Kentwood’s Rayvaughn Bolton, Kentridge’s Joran Ticeson and Ethan Walker and Kentlake’s Kevin Baker and Austin McBryde.
The second team included Kentridge’s Elijah Ticeson, Kentwood’s Davonte’ Sanchez, Kent-Meridian’s Mahlik Hall and Tahoma’s Clayton Stultz and Hayden Sundstrom.
For the girls, Kenlake’s Sydney Peterson was SPSL Northeast Division MVP.
First-team selections were K-M’s Savannah Lackey, Kentwood’s Zaria Jones, Kentridge’s Morgan Gary, Kentlake’s Anniston Denckla and Tahoma’s Ginny Mehl.
The second team was composed of Kentridge’s Tresai McCarver and JaQuaya Miller, Kentlake’s Jada Leonard and Tahoma’s Kaelan Shamseldin and Rachel Paulsen.
