Enumerator fended off all challengers down the stretch for a 2 ¼-length victory Sunday in the $50,000 Strong Ruler Stakes for 2-year-old colts and geldings at Emerald Downs.
With Juan Gutierrez riding at 120 pounds, Enumerator covered 6½ furlongs in 1:18 1/5 on a fast track and paid $5, $2.80 and $2.80. Doris Harwood is the trainer for owner/breeder Herman Sarkowsky of Seattle.
Toss’m Again, ridden by Seth Martinez at 120 pounds, made a bid for the lead in midstretch but was outfinished and settled for second place. The runner-up returned $4.60 and $3.20.
Fast Tactics, ridden be Jennifer Whitaker at 118 pounds, ran on late to finish third and paid $3.80.
