Fans will be able to watch four Seattle Thunderbirds Western Hockey League games in March on JOEtv (KZJO), Channel 22 and cable 110.
Three games are against the Portland Winterhawks from accesso ShoWare Center in Kent and one game in Spokane against the Chiefs.
The first game is at 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, against the Winterhawks. The short 2020-2021 season opens March 19. Teams have not played since last March.
The schedule for this season consists of 24 games against the U.S. Division opponents Tri-City, Everett, Spokane and Portland. Due to COVID-19 protocols fans will not be allowed at games.
“We are very happy to continue our relationship with JOEtv,” said Colin Campbell, T-Birds vice president, in a media release. “This is a very unique season for us and we are thankful for our partnership with JOEtv to be able to give our fans the opportunity to see our games. We look forward to announcing the games in April and May that will be broadcast on JOEtv.”
“JOEtv is dedicated to delivering more T-Birds games than ever to match the demands of the team’s devoted fan base, and encourage the entire region’s growing interest in hockey,” said Pam Pearson, general manager of Q13 FOX and JOEtv.
The T-Birds will announce games in April and May that will be broadcast on JOEtv at a later date.
