Seattle Thunderbirds Jacob Doty is the Kent Reporter Player of the Week. Doty, 18 from Billing Montana has 1 goal and 1 assist this season. Early this season he was invited to the Florida Panthers training camp. Last year Doty appeared in 70 games with the T-Birds and had seven points on four goals and three assists with 176 penalty minutes. Jake finished 10th in the league in penalty minutes this season. He earned his first WHL point on October 9 in Chilliwack when he registered an assist on Brendan Rouse’s second goal of the game in a 6-2 win. Jake scored his first WHL goal on November 6 at Brandon in a 3-2 loss.
