Four Kent East Hill Boxing Club fighters came away with wins in the recent Thurston County Invitational Tournament/USA Amateur bouts at the Nisqually Community & Youth Center.

Four Kent East Hill Boxing Club fighters came away with wins in the recent Thurston County Invitational Tournament/USA Amateur bouts at the Nisqually Community & Youth Center.

John Gibbons, a student at Kentlake High School, scored a TKO in the first round in the heavyweight division for 16-17-year-old novice amateurs.

In the novice division for 17 year olds, Kent-Meridian’s 140-pound Mustafa Sudani and K-M’s 135-pound Amad Nisharov received championship belts.

Ethan Gerber, 10, an 84-pound novice who attends Meridian Elementary, earned a championship belt.
