Miller has shown work ethic that is needed to be a leader in fastpitch.

The Kent Reporter’s female athlete of the week for the week of Mar. 8 is Kentridge High School sophomore Genesis Miller , fastpitch.

Who is the person in your life that has helped you succeed the most?

My mom, constantly pushing me to improve, get good grades, and play to the best of my ability, also reminding me of the future and how I act now will highly affect where I go in life.

You’re on a long road trip, you stop at a gas station. You get one drink and one snack. What are you choosing?

White cheddar Cheez-its and a peach Arizona tea

Describe your pre-game ritual:

Don’t have much of a pre-game ritual other than visualization but I have a pre at bat ritual, I touch the side of my helmet where the sticker I have for a coach of mine that recently passed.

From the sidelines: Genesis has been a solid leader the first week of fastpitch. She has been an asset in showing skills and drills and has shown what type of work ethic is needed to be successful in the sport. She is eager to assist and demonstrate various skills to all athletes. Great job, Genesis, and keep up the great work!
