The Kent Reporter’s female athlete of the week for the week of Feb. 16 is Kent-Meridian High School junior Liliana Delgado Hernandez, girls flag football.

My mom, she always raised me to be respectful and work hard.

From the sidelines: Liliana is an outstanding athlete. She’s known for her unwavering dedication, fearlessness and positive attitude. She consistently gives 100% and demonstrates her physical skill and strategic intelligence. Beyond her athletic ability she is an exceptional teammate, great student and a great representation of sportsmanship.
