Kentridge’s Lexi McKnight stole the show, capturing the all-around state 4A gymnastics title at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall on Friday.
McKnight, a senior, compiled a score of 38.05, winning the vault (9.55) and finishing fourth on the bars (9.550), beam (9.375) and the floor exercise (9.575).
In the indivdual event finals on Saturday, McKnight finished second on the vault (9.625) before injuries sidelined her for the rest of the competition.
McKnight’s sister, Lizzy, finished 12th in the all-around. She was fourth on the floor (9.575), eighth on the bars (9.375) and 11th on the vault (9.2).
In the individual finals, Lizzy McKnight took fifth on the floor (9.55).
In the team finals, Kentridge – including Lexi and Lizzy McKnight, Karley Ramos, Lillian Stansberry, Elisabeth Larson, Tiara Reonal and Mia Turovets – finished eighth.
