Kentwood grabs No. 3 seed to state | Prep volleyball

Kentwood survives 5-game battle with Puyallup at home on Saturday to secure the West Central District’s No. 3 spot to the 4A state volleyball tournament.

Kentwood survived a five-game battle with Puyallup at home on Saturday to secure the West Central District’s No. 3 to the 4A state volleyball tournament.

Game scores were: 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25, 15-12.

Puyallup goes to state as the No. 4 seed.

Kentwood reached the semifinals, falling to Bellarmine Prep in three games, 25-20, 25-16, 25-17.

Auburn Riverside went on to dispatch Puyallup in the semifinals and Bellarmine Prep in the finals.
