Darius LuBom returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown and later returned a fumble 30 yards for another score as Kentwood High wrapped up the North Puget Sound League Cascade Division 4A title with a 36-0 romp against Kentlake at French Field last Friday night.
For the Conquerors (7-0 league, 7-2 overall), it was their fifth consecutive division title. Kentwood hosts Eastlake of 4A KingCo at 7 p.m. Friday at French Field in the Class 4A state preliminary round. Kentlake (5-2, 7-2) travels to Graham-Kapowsin for a 7 p.m. clash Friday.
Justin Seiber threw a 26-yard TD to Tre’Sean Steele and Dyson Johnson and Mason Glover added scoring runs for the Conks.
Elsewhere, Kent-Meridian beat Kentridge 61-36.
The Royals (2-5, 2-7) exploded early and often to subdue the Chargers (0-7, 0-9) in a Cascade Division.
