Kent Little League officially threw out the first pitch to the baseball season Saturday at Ryan Brunner Park.
Greg Whitcomb, Kent Little League president, welcomed parents, players and coaches in an opening day program that included a parade and introduction of teams onto the outfield, a flag ceremony, Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke’s keynote address and Travis Brunner’s ceremonial first pitch.
The carnival atmosphere welcomed face painting, booths, game trailer and bouncy house, team photos and sponsor/vendor booths from local partners and sponsors.
Games followed throughout the afternoon.
