• Accomplishment: Malvar scored a season high 12 points in Kentwood’s 84-56 win over Kentridge last Friday night during the Kent Shootout at the ShoWare Center.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my whole family and close friends. I would serve fried chicken and mac cheese. I would also invite (basketball player) Lindsay DeGroot and serve tacos.

SANDA MILOVIC
Kentwood
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Milovic, who has consistently reached double figures in scoring all season for the Conquerors, scored a season-high 22 points in Kentwood’s 76-35 victory over Kentridge last Friday night in the Kent Shootout at the ShoWare Center.
• Favorite class: Leadership.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Michael Jackson and I would serve chicken and mashed potatoes.
• Favorite movie: Michael Jackson’s “This is it.”
• Most recent book read/author: “The Coldest Winter Ever” by Sister Souljah.
• What’s on your iPod?: Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” album.
• Also noted: Milovic, whose dad played basketball professionally, can touch the rim and claims Michael Jackson as her “hero.”
GARY BAILEY
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Sophomore.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Bailey delivered 11 points in Kent-Meridian’s 55-44 win over Tahoma last Saturday nigh in a South Puget Sound League North Division game. It was the second time in as many games that Bailey reached double figures in scoring.
• Favorite class: History.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my mom because she brought me into this world and I love her so much! I would serve her whatever she wanted.
• Greatest athletic moment: My first varsity game as a freshman. The game was much faster than middle school!
• Most recent book read/author: “Theories of Relativity” by Barbara Haworth-Attard.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Stupid Wild” by Gucci Mane.
• Also noted: Bailey hopes to attend the University of Oregon after high school, where he plans on studying to become a lawyer.
QUINTON WONG
Kentridge
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Swimming.
• Accomplishment: Wong served up a strong performance during last weekend’s SPSL swim meet at Curtis High in University Place, registering 305.10 total points, which helped him earn a state berth.
• Favorite class: Engineering.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: All of my current and past family members. I love spending time with them and they are all so much fun to be around.
• Greatest athletic moment: My greatest moment would be recently qualifying for state in diving.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Ex’s and O’s” by Atreyu.
• Also noted: Wong has been accepted to Brigham Young University and BYU-Idaho. He has not yet made a decision on which school he will attend in the fall.
AUBREYANA ANDERSON
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Sophomore.
• Sport: Basketball.
• Accomplishment: Anderson matched a season high by scoring 12 points in a 74-56 loss to Tahoma last week during a South Puget Sound League North Division game.
• Favorite class: Biology.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my mom to give back to her for getting me this far in life. I would serve her anything she would want to eat.
• Greatest athletic moment: My very first 3-pointer in a Kent Parks game when I was little.
• Most recent book read/author: “Jason and Kyra” by Dana Davidson.
• What’s on your iPod?: Keep Your Head Up.
• Also noted: Anderson plans to attend the University of Oregon on scholarship in either track or basketball after high school. At the University of Oregon she plans on studying to become a nurse practitioner.
