• Accomplishment: Toeaina pulled a clean sweep of the throwing events last week in a meet against Kent-Meridian, winning the shot put, discus and the javelin. She heaved the shot put 37-8.5, tossed the discus 127-11 and the javelin 94-2.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? I would invite my grandmother, who I was unable to meet because she got sick. I would serve dessert because it’s the best food ever.
• Favorite movie: Kicking and Screaming and This Christmas.
• Most recent book read/author: “The Good Earth” by Pearl S. Buck.
• What’s on your iPod?: Single Ladies by Beyonce.
• Also noted: After graduating from high school, Toeaina hopes to continue her track career at a four-year university.
ERIN CROWLEY
Kentlake
• Grade: Sophomore.
• Sport: Fastpitch.
• Accomplishment: Crowley, who quickly has blossomed into one of the SPSL North’s top hitters, enjoyed a stretch during the final week in April that included four-straight games with at least two hits. During the four-game run, Crowley went 9-for-13 at the plate.
• Favorite class: Spanish and Photography.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? I would make grilled cheese for (baseball players) Bret Boone and Mike Cameron because they’re my superheroes.
• Favorite movie: Coach Carter.
• Most recent book read/author: “Burned” by Ellen Hopkins.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Whatever You Like” by T.I.
• Also noted: Crowley was recently named a Kent Rotary Student of the Month. She anticipates playing fastpitch at a four-year university and plans to major in architecture.
KELSEY BUENO
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Track.
• Accomplishment: Beuno, currently the SPSL North’s top pole vaulter, uncorked a performance of 10-feet-6 inches last week against Kentwood, a full foot better than her closest competitor.
• Favorite class: Pre-calculus 2 at Green River CC.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? I would invite En Grabovica and Jenny Grubbs and we’d just go to Denny’s.
• Favorite movie: Underworld.
• What’s on your iPod?: Extraordinary by Liz Phair.
• Also noted: Bueno, who is in the Running Start program at Green River Community College, will have her business degree by the time she graduates from high school next year.
DERRICK DAIGRE
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Sophomore.
• Sport: Track.
• Accomplishment: Daigre delivered a blistering time in the 800 last week against Kentwood, scorching the oval in a personal-best 1:55.10. The time not only won the event for Daigre, but also was the third-best in the entire state this season.
• Favorite class: Math.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? I would invite (the fastest man in the world) Usain Bolt and I would serve fried chicken.
• Favorite movie: Fast & Furious.
• Most recent book read/author: “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck.
• What’s on your iPod?: “So Fresh, So Clean” by Outkast.
• Also noted: Daigre also is a standout on the Kent-Meridian cross country team.
EMMANUEL CAMARERO
Kentridge
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Soccer.
• Accomplishment: Camarero led Kentridge past Kent-Meridian last week, scoring the game’s first two goals in a 5-0 shutout.
• Favorite class: AVID.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? (Actress) Jessica Alba. I would serve Italian food.
• Favorite movie: Taken.
• Most recent book read/author: “The Soul of a Butterfly: Reflections on Life’s Journey” by Muhammad Ali.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Electromovimiento” by Calle 13.
• Also noted: After graduation, Camarero plans to attend Highline Community College, where he will continue to play soccer.
STETSON OLSON

• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Baseball.
• Accomplishment: Olson went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs in a win last week over Kent-Meridian.
• Favorite class: Sports Medicine.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve? Ken Griffey, Jr. because he saved baseball in Seattle in the 90s. He is the Seattle Mariners. We would eat steak, because real men eat steak.
