Seattle Thunderbirds announce 2011-12 preseason hockey schedule

The Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team announced Thursday a six-game preseason schedule, including one home game at 7:05 p.m. Sept. 17 against the Everett Silvertips at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

The Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team announced Thursday a six-game preseason schedule, including one home game at 7:05 p.m. Sept. 17 against the Everett Silvertips at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

Seattle plays two games at the Everett Silvertips preseason tournament at Comcast Arena. The T-Birds play the Spokane Chiefs at 3 p.m. Sept. 2, and the Silvertips at 5 p.m. Sept. 4.

The T-Birds travel Sept. 9-10 to Kennewick for two games at the Red Lion Hotels’ Preseason Tournament at the Toyota Center. They will face the Chiefs at 3 p.m. Sept. 9 and the Silvertips at 3 p.m. Sept. 10.

Seattle plays at Portland at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Winterhawks Skating Center.

Single game tickets for the home preseason game at the ShoWare Center go on sale in August.

The T-Birds full 2011-12 regular season schedule will be released June 29.

Single-game tickets for the regular season will go on sale on in late August online on the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
