The Tacoma Stars solidified their goalkeeping by re-signing Michael Arguello for the 2018-19 Major Arena Soccer League season.
Per team and league policies, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Arguello, a Pacific Lutheran University alum and SeaTac native, has spent the past two seasons starting in goal for the Western Indoor Soccer League’s Stars Reserves. In his senior year with the Lutes, Arguello started 18 games in goal and notched 73 saves.
“Mike has been a great pro for us the past couple years. He has helped our reserve team win games, and he will look to take some minutes in goal in the MASL this season,” said Darren Sawatzky, Stars coach and general manager. “Having good goalkeepers is a must in this league, and we are grateful Mike is working with us again.”
The Stars kick off the season on Saturday, Dec. 1 against the Turlock Express.
