T-Bird Hickman named to Hockey Canada’s Team Pacific

Seattle Thunderbirds center Justin Hickman was named to Hockey Canada's Team Pacific Nov. 17. Team Pacific is one of five Canadian teams that will skate at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, December 29 to January 4, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Team Pacific is comprised of 11 players from British Columbia and 11 players from Alberta.

Seattle Thunderbirds center Justin Hickman was named to Hockey Canada’s Team Pacific Nov. 17.

Team Pacific is one of five Canadian teams that will skate at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, December 29 to January 4, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Team Pacific is comprised of 11 players from British Columbia and 11 players from Alberta.

Hickman was the T-Birds second round selection, 34th overall, in the 2009 Bantam Draft.

The World Under-17 tournament is made up of 10 teams; five from Canada – Quebec, Ontario, Pacific (Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Yukon), Atlantic (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island) and West (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut), and five International teams – Germany, Slovakia, Finland, Czech Republic and the United States. The 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge will bring together the top players in the world born in 1994 or later.

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2010-11 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.

T-Birds Group tickets are currently on sale. Group tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
