Seattle Thunderbirds team captain Justin Hickman has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Bridgeport (Conn.) Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, the top affiliate of the NHL’s New York Islanders.
General manager Russ Farwell announced the deal Friday.
Hickman had 22 goals and 24 assists for 46 points in 67 games with 154 penalty minutes this season. He had two goals and two assists in nine playoff games.
In four seasons with the T-Birds, Hickman has appeared in 254 games and has 104 points on 46 goals and 58 assists with 426 penalty minutes. He was the T-Birds’ second-round selection, 34th overall, in the 2009 Bantam Draft.
