The Kent Downtown Partnership is hosting a “welcome to the team” picnic 5-7 p.m. Aug. 25 at Burlington Green Park. Hotdogs, beverages and cake will be provided. Members of the Seattle Thunderbirds will be on hand, including Cool Bird, the team’s mascot.The event is free, but tickets are required and available at the KDP office, 202 West Gowe Street, Suite A. Burlington Green Park is located at West Meeker Street and Railroad Avenue North.
