The Tri-City Americans shut out the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-0 Tuesday night at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.
Seattle (17-24-0-1) takes on the Kamloops Blazers on Friday at 7:35 p.m at the ShoWare Center.
Jesse Mychan put the Americans in front 1-0 at 10:12 of the first period. Adam Hughesman and Mitch Topping had the assists.
Tri-City (34-10-0-0) went in front 2-0 at 11:30 of the first on a goal from Mason Wilgosh. Hughesman and Brendan Shinnimin were credited with the assists.
The Americans outshot the T-Birds 12-8 in the first period.
Patrick Holland scored a power-play goal at 6:16 of the second period to make it a 3-0 Americans lead.
Tri-City led in shots 27-12 after two periods by outshooting the T-Birds 15-5 in the second period.
Justin Feser scored a power-play goal at 17:02 of the third period to get the Americans fourth goal. Jordan Messier and Holland were credited with the assists.
Tri-City outshot Seattle 50-16 in the game.
Seattle goalie Calvin Pickard made 36 saves on 40 shots and his record is now 17-20-0-1.
Tri-City goalie Eric Comrie stopped all 16 shots he faced and his record is now 15-3-0-0.
